Chapter 1. WINDOWS 2000 PROGRAMMING

Microsoft's Windows 2000 is a major upgrade for Windows NT 4 that introduces many new features. Some of those features are outside the standard Win32 API and therefore not documented in this book. However, there are several new APIs and modifications to existing APIs that are documented. Windows 2000 includes features that used to be reserved for Windows 98, such as Image Color Matching (IMC). It also has several new APIs that are specific to Windows 2000 and are not found in Windows 98.
