Installing Certificate Services
The certificate server is not installed by default on a Windows 2000 server install. You can upgrade in one of three ways:
Add a Windows component from the CD or use the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Control Panel.
You can install certificate services as part of an automated install of Windows 2000 server. This is probably not the best idea simply because you should make certain you set the configuration correctly when you install it. Some of the items are not easy to reverse without uninstalling and reloading the certificate services component.
