VPNs and Windows 2000
Before I get into the discussion of the Windows 2000 VPN, it is important to understand that in the Windows 2000 model, the VPN is an integral part of the Routing and Remote Access utility of Windows 2000. This blurs the lines between the dial-up, routing, and VPN capabilities of Windows 2000. If portions of this section seem as if they are discussing a RAS server, they are.
