Why You Will Never Be Completely Secure
The Internet is a shared experience. It is like the telephone system. You can't do anything about someone who keeps calling you on the telephone and bothering you, short of invoking some help from law enforcement. It's the same for the Internet. As long as we're all connected together in this giant web, it will never be possible to protect a computer (or a cell phone or a watch, or a whatever) from being exposed to harm from someone else connected to the Internet.
New protocols, new applications, new users, new bugs, oversights, and backdoors—these are some of the reasons you will never be 100 percent secure if you connect to the Internet.
