As with past versions of Windows, Windows 7 comes with a simple tool to help you create and do basic modification of sound files—Windows Sound Recorder. Although it is admittedly utilitarian in nature, this tool enables you to add audio notations to everything from word processing documents to slideshows and enables you to create slideshows and photo CDs.
