WCF supports hosting multiple endpoints within a single service instance. At runtime, whenever a service request arrives, the WCF runtime needs to determine which endpoint (EndpointDispatcher) should be used to handle the request. This kind of request dispatching is processed through a filtering mechanism and there are some built-in filters that will help dispatch the requests to the proper endpoint.
