Preparation

You can deploy Office 2003 Editions from an administrative installation, similar to Office 2000 and Office XP. You can also deploy it from a customized compressed CD image, which is a new capability for Office 2003 Editions. By deploying Office 2003 Editions from an administrative installation, you can do the following:

• Manage one set of Office 2003 Editions files from a central location.

• Create a standard Office 2003 Editions configuration for a group of users.

• Take advantage of flexible installation options.

• Manage updates of Office 2003 Editions by patching one administrative image.
