So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Downloading the Latest Updates
It's a good idea to address two types of updates before installing Movie Maker.
You need to update your version of XP to the latest Microsoft Windows service pack. Service packs are periodic updates that Microsoft creates to fix bugs, update code, and respond to new hacker attacks. You can do this automatically or manually; we'll cover both options in the following tasks.
You also want to make sure that you're working with the latest drivers, which are bits of software that link hardware devices like sound cards and graphics cards with Windows. You'll find instructions for updating drivers at the end of this section.
