How Transitions Work in Movie Maker

Movie Maker stores all transitions in the Video Transitions collection, including those that ship with the program and those provided by third parties. You access them by clicking the collection in the Collections pane or choosing Video Transitions from the Collections list (Figure 10.5).

Note that Video Transitions is a bit of a misnomer, given that Movie Maker can apply these transitions to both video and still images. For this reason, I'll generically refer to Video Transitions simply as transitions.
