Planning a Windows NT Domain Upgrade
Upgrading a Windows NT 4 domain to Active Directory isn’t quite the three-click process that you perform when upgrading a single Windows NT 4 workstation. In fact, considerable planning is necessary before you even start Windows Setup on the first computer. Some computers, such as the PDC and BDCs, must be upgraded in a specific order, with the PDC being upgraded first.
