Installing and Configuring AppleTalk
The first step in making your Windows server available to your Macintosh users is to install the AppleTalk network stack. Installing FSM or PSM before AppleTalk causes AppleTalk to be installed. If the Macintosh clients on your network still use AppleTalk, install AppleTalk and verify that it’s working properly before you install FSM or PSM, because doing so makes troubleshooting much easier. If all Mac clients are configured to use TCP/IP for networking instead of AppleTalk, there’s no need for AppleTalk on your Windows server, so skip this section.
