12.4. Terminal Service Remote Applications
A Terminal Services RemoteApp (TS RemoteApp) is an application server platform for remote clients. The RemoteApp service name has been trademarked by Microsoft, and is a new feature in Windows Server 2008. To run a remote application you need to connect to a Terminal Server 2008 with an XP SP2, Vista, Windows Server 2003, or Windows Server 2008 system using the RDP 6.0 TS Client and connection protocol. Remote applications run in the UI as if they were local applications, and can only be recognized as a remote application when you look at their Properties dialog box.
