Backing Up and Recovering Your Data
Windows Server 2003 includes a backup utility called Backup that was developed by Veritas Software Corporation. Backup is a versatile utility designed to perform backups of individual systems. You use Backup to perform the following tasks:
Create backup archives of files and folders
Create backups of the System State
Create Automated System Recovery backups
Access media pools reserved for Backup
Restore archived files and folders
Restore the System State
