Chapter 9. Cameras and Scanners

Windows XP offers a slew of programs and features that make it easy—well, easier, at least—to download, view, and manage digital images on your computer.

The Scanner and Camera Wizard transfers digital photos from your camera to your computer. Other wizards help you print pictures or publish them on the Web.

Windows Explorer enhancements help you organize image files. Filmstrip view, for example, lets you browse miniature versions of your photos.

Windows Picture and Fax Viewer lets you view, rotate, magnify, and annotate images—and put up a slide show—without opening an image-editing program.
