Using Add/Remove Programs
The Control Panel has a utility called Add/Remove Programs that can be used to install programs, even if they do use the Autorun feature. It also can be used to install older programs and to add or remove specific components of the operating system.
To start the Add/Remove Programs utility, click on Start, More Programs, Control Panel. As you can see in Figure 12.1, the Control Panel's category view gives you several menu-like options from which to choose.

Simply click Add or Remove Programs found in the first column under the Pick a Category ...
