Installing or Removing Windows XP Components

When you first install Windows XP, you should perform a typical installation, as directed in Chapter 3, “Installing and Upgrading Windows XP.” However, you will also notice on the menus presented by the installation CD that there are additional components to install. To add or remove additional components of Windows XP, you can use two methods.

One option is to insert the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive and select Install Additional Components from the menu.
