Using Security Templates
If you decide to change some of the default settings for the policies shown in Tables Table 22-1 and Table 22-2, you can make the changes in Group Policy or in Local Security Settings, as described in the preceding sections. If you want to apply the same changes to a number of computers in your network, however, making the settings can be tedious. In this common situation, you're better off using security templates, files that contain preconfigured security settings for various purposes. You can also use security templates to restore your security settings to a known condition if experimentation with various settings has compromised your secure system.
