What Is SmartArt?
SmartArt replaces and improves upon the Diagrams feature in 2003 and earlier versions of Word. Using SmartArt, you can create a variety of graphical conceptual diagrams.
There are eight main categories:
• List diagrams—These diagrams show a list of items in a graphical format that helps to emphasize their importance.
• Process diagrams—These diagrams show the progress made toward a goal and are useful for step-by-step procedures (see Figure 13.1).
