General Physical Examination

Systematic assessment of a pregnant woman from head to foot is called general physical examination.

OBJECTIVES
  1. Assessing any abnormality in the body that interferes with pregnancy.
  2. Identifying any abnormality in the body that can have an effect on pregnancy and the outcome of pregnancy.
  3. Treating woman at risk immediately for preventing complications.
  4. Minimizing the effect of risk of other diseases on pregnancy.
