Postnatal Assessment

Comprehensive nursing assessment based on a sound understanding of normal process of puerperium is known as postpartum assessment and care.

OBJECTIVES
  1. Assist the woman and her partner in their initial transition to parenting.
  2. Observe the woman closely after delivery.
  3. Provide physical and psychological care.
  4. Prevent postnatal complications.
