Life would be a lot easier if each of the seven growth killers we’ve discussed in this book acted independently. Then we’d only have to defend ourselves against them one at a time. But the truth is that they’re highly related. One can trigger another in a catastrophic cascade. But there’s a silver lining. Because the growth killers all feed off one another, taking just a few preventive steps can reduce a midsized company’s vulnerability to all of them.
