Enabling backups for a virtual machine 

In this section, we'll enable backups for a virtual machine running in Azure. Let's start by creating an Azure Recovery Vault.

Azure Recovery Vault stores all our backup and site recovery configurations and is where you manage them. Let's get started:

  1. Log in to Azure portal and click + Create a resource. Search for Backup and Site Recovery and click Create.
  2. Select Subscription and Resource group and provide a name for the vault and region. Note that the region should be the same as where your VMs are running:
