Migrating to Backdrop from Drupal 6
Drupal 6 is quickly coming to its end of life as a supported platform. Drupal 8 has launched, meaning that the community’s support for Drupal 6 will end on February 24, 2016. If you are an organization running on Drupal 6, you have two basic choices: continue to run your site on an unsupported platform and suffer the consequences of doing so or migrate your Drupal 6 site to Drupal 7, Drupal 8, or Backdrop.
