Moving to the public cloud has challenges and carries risks. Managing these risks
will be the difference between success and failure. These risks are not always obvious. In this chapter, I call out six different risks: new technology, distributed data, integration, scale, achieving situational awareness, and new human processes. By describing these risks and sharing examples of their impact, I hope you, as a technology leader, will be better equipped to successfully delivery big technology projects.
