Troubleshooting Other Physical Network Issues
A number of different network communication issues could arise when you’re troubleshooting network issues; as a result, the Network+ exam is heavy on troubleshooting. Following are popular issues that deal with the physical network:
 
  Crosstalk (near end and far end)   This term refers to interference from adjacent wires. If you experience a lot of signal degradation, it could be due to crosstalk. To fix the problem, try using another cable type that has more shielding.
  Attenuation   This refers to the degradation of the signal as it travels great distances. If you cannot communicate with a system that is too far away, you might have exceeded the maximum cable length for that type of cable. ...
