I am first and foremost a nerd. Not only a nerd, but an IT nerd. Not only an IT nerd, but an IT security nerd. I’m amazingly good at locking down firewalls and setting up secure VPNs. Technical security skills like these are great (and fun), but when you look at IT security in general, “screwdriver techs” are the least important part of any IT security organization. Surprised? Well, it’s true!
Proper IT security requires organization. That organization takes many forms:
