The Air Force vision for the 21st century is called global engagement. The vision is grounded in the Joint Vision 2010 and Joint Vision 2020 of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and aims to “provide America with the air and space capabilities required to deter, fight, and win.”
