The Middle of the Road Could Be the End
It’s not surprising that, generally speaking, parents have to stretch their dollars further than they did when there were fewer mouths to feed. Many Millennials are reaching their peak spending years after graduating from college and beginning their careers; however, student loan debt, underemployment, and lack of available jobs are weighing on them as they begin the next chapter of their lives. Analysis of a 2012 national financial capability study shows that 55 percent of the 25,000 Millennial study participants currently have outstanding student loan debt and about half are concerned about their ability to pay it off.1
