Marion Furr is director of Ministerial Business and Parliamentary Accountability (MBPA) in the Department of Health (DH), providing private office support to the permanent secretary and ensuring timely and appropriate responses to public and parliamentary representations to ministers and the department. For the past five years, in addition to her day job, Marion has led the staff health and well-being programme at the department with an explicit agenda of ‘Practicing What We Preach’. She has personally practiced mindfulness for the past four years. She champions mindfulness in government and has contributed to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Mindfulness.
