CHAPTER 7

What lies beneath all the busyness?

So we think we have come through loud and (hopefully) clear by now – the less busy we try to become the busier we may find that we actually are! But even with this realisation and all our attempts to remain aware of our habitual busy tendencies, we may still find ourselves frantically rushing around like a headless chicken a lot of the time. Firstly, we want to say, that's OK, Rome wasn’t built in a day now, was it? And remember you are learning a drastically new way of being – a new habit! However, it might be helpful to understand a little more about what is going on beneath all this busyness that most of us busy people do a lot of the time without even realising we are doing it.
