Most of this book focuses on the various faculties of Survival mode. As a player begins to experiment with redstone, Survival mode alone can prove tricky for acquiring enough blocks and ingredients to build redstone contraptions.
You can “playthrough” and skip this chapter entirely, continuing to advance through survival gameplay toward the Nether and End. If you’re interested in learning to use redstone, however, you should switch to a notable feature in Minecraft: Creative mode.
