The next project takes our light-up block techniques to the next level. This time we’ll make a larger assembly that works as a lamp or chandelier, running off house current and very much usable for illumination. You can see what I came up with in Figure 5-1.

We’ll begin by designing the lamp in-game. As I mentioned earlier, one of the advantages of re-creating a game element is that you can design it using the game itself. I’ll also guide you through buying the light-up element and fabricating the structure that will support it.
