In Chapter 3 you built your own Minecraft-themed chess set. All you need now is a board to go with it. In this chapter, you’ll assemble a chess board mostly out of wood, using ordinary woodshop tools. For added pizzazz you’ll add a string of holiday lights that will make the white squares light up, as well as an acrylic sheet for the top. Figure 6-1 shows the final project.
