WiMAX networks have found tremendous support from operators and equipment manufacturers as well as governments and regulators. Over 300 trials have taken place with many commercial deployments profitably providing advanced services and wireless applications.
In this chapter, we take a look at the implementations of some of the WiMAX networks, both Fixed (IEEE 802.16-2004) as well as Mobile WiMAX (IEEE 802.16e). The case studies which are presented in this chapter have been selected based on specific features of the networks.
