Binding Cache Management
The primary purpose of the ‘Data’ statement is to give names to constants; instead of referring to Pi as 3.141592653589793 at every appearance, the variable Pi can be given that value with a Data statement and used instead of the longer form of the constant. This also simplifies modifying the program, should the value of Pi change. –Fortran manual for Xerox Computers

In this chapter, the parts of Mobile IPv6 that handle Binding Cache management and related messages are described in detail. This includes all aspects of processing by the home agent, the correspondent node, and the mobile node.
There are three Binding Cache management protocol elements:
1. Home Address destination option
2. IPv6 Mobility Header messages
3. Options
First, the Home Address destination option will be described; IPv6 destination options have the characteristic feature that they are only to be interpreted by the destination. This destination option is used by mobile nodes in several cases, including transmission of normal data packets to correspondent nodes. The new destination option is also used when sending mobility-related messages that require information about the mobile node’s home address if that address isn’t available in the IPv6 packet header.
After the description of the new destination option, the new IPv6 mobility messages are described. They are identified ...
