It is clear that the market is shifting toward smartphones and tablets as a dominant computing model. Since 2007 and the initial release of the iPhone, the adoption of mobile smartphones and tablets has outpaced the adoption of any other technology adoption in history. However, not every part of the world is adopting smartphones and tablets at the same rate.
