Me and My Shadow IT

Most CEOs would be flabbergasted at the ubiquity of technology within the company running outside the purview of the information technology (IT) department. Shadow IT (sounds ominous, doesn’t it?) is hardware or software that is being used by the organization without the approval or knowledge of the company’s IT department.

Let that sink for a moment. Your company is running on IT your IT department can’t manage, monitor, and may not even know about.
