Fault Detection and Accommodation in Actuators

The precision requirements associated with precise actuators are high with low tolerance for fault and change in characteristics over time. To ensure safe and efficient operation of control systems against various failures and prolong achievable performance, a failure detection and accommodation scheme is essential.
