This chapter contains the description of a simulative/emulative platform developed by the authors and called the “Hybrid Simulative-Emulative Platform (HySEP).” It has been designed and built to simulate long term evolution (LTE) networks by using Network Simulator 3 (ns-3) and to emulate a backhaul network that implements the Differentiated Service (DiffServ) solution to guarantee Quality of Service (QoS).
