It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Abstract
This chapter begins by giving an overview of the ARM Vector Floating Point (VFP) coprocessor and the ARM VFP register set. Next, it gives an overview of the Floating Point Status and Control Register (FPSCR). It then explains RunFast mode, which gives higher performance but is not fully compliant with the IEEE floating point standards. That is followed by a explanation of vector mode, which can give an additional performance boost in some situations.
