Techno-economic analysis and environmental assessment of stabilized insulated rammed earth (SIREWALL) building

Abstract
The aim of this appendix is to provide a North American perspective of the emerging modern rammed earth industry and how it is continually affected by changes in the economy, environmental awareness and technology. Many of the widely held assumptions about the environment and greenbuilding are questioned and a way forward offered. The challenges and opportunities created by changes in the business cycle are explored. Upstream technological solutions are advocated and anticipatory design is seen as essential.
