2 Fundamental Leatherworking Tasks and Tools

While we will dig into the details of leatherworking in the project chapters, it’s useful to survey the sets of techniques and tools that are most commonly used to work leather. Different leatherworkers will choose to use different sets of techniques. Some folks never sew; others only sew on a machine. The various preferences are championed or defended at length in forums and books. I primarily want to provide context for the leatherworking techniques we’ll use later in the book.
