Water Jet Machining (WJM)

3.3.1 Introduction

High pressure water was used in hydraulic mining in the mid of 1800s. A low pressure water jet nozzle is used for cutting soft materials like paper by paper patents company in 1933. A high pressure water jet was used for cutting plastic by Carl Johnson of Durox International in Luxembourg in 1956.
