Abstract
Over the years different forms of thermal energy, e.g., electrical spark, plasma arc, laser beam and electron beam etc. are used for machining advanced materials. Some of the modern machining processes, e.g., Electro-Discharge Machining (EDM), Plasma Arc Machining (PAM), Laser Beam Machining (LBM) and Electron Beam Machining (EBM) uses different forms of thermal energy and are become popular now-a-days due to their inherent advantages over conventional machining processes.
