2 Basic Concepts

2.1  INTRODUCTION

In this chapter, a brief review of fundamental concepts associated with steady-state alternating current circuits, especially with three-phase circuits, is presented. It is hoped that this brief review is sufficient to provide a common base, in terms of notation and references, that is necessary to be able to follow the subsequent chapters.
