Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “Those were the good old days.” I’ve usually found it to be a catch-all term that refers to a time in one’s life that had a sense of great meaning, relevance, and all-around fun. Personally, I’ve never met a group of people who seem to bring that sense of relevance and fun with them into the present more than music and audio professionals, enthusiasts, and students. The fact that many of us refer to the tools of our profession as “toys” says a lot about the way we view our work. Fortunately, I was born into that clan and have reaped the benefits all my life.
