I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Week 2: Fine-tune your car insurance
Okay, let’s start this whole saving-money-on-financial- products thing with something that’s fairly straightforward and easy to do but which we don’t tend to do because, well, quite frankly we’ve usually got better things happening in our lives. And also maybe a little bit because we’ve never been shown how, which is a shame because it’s not difficult and it can potentially save you hundreds of dollars.
I’m talking about shopping around for your car insurance. A 2011 CHOICE report found that shopping around could net a young male driver a potential annual saving of $981, and an adult couple (or singles) $531, so it’s something that’s well worth spending an hour on.
