Key home loan facts
In January 2012 the National Consumer Credit Protection Amendment introduced compulsory, one-page key fact sheets for new home loan customers. This has made it easier to compare your mortgage with other products on the market.
The fact sheets give consumers a basic overview of the interest rate, the ‘all-in’ rate (rate including other fees), the total cost of the mortgage over time, the features included and an indication of what would happen to your repayments if rates increased.
Overleaf is a sample of a key home loan facts sheet.
