At this point in the book, you have all the tools that you need to start creating your own 2D games. But as you may have noticed in this journey, some aspects of game programming are tedious and the devil is in the details. Despite all our efforts so far, we still do not have a complete game, let alone a complete level to play through. All we have in the game is a player who has three attempts to destroy four helicopter enemies and then the background just keeps scrolling until the player quits the game. There is no challenge and no rewarding feeling.
