Now that the initial introduction to MonoGame is out of the way, we are ready to begin coding right? Not quite – we need to set up our development environment first in Visual Studio. Thankfully, over the years, this has become a much more streamlined process and will not take much time. In addition, configuring Linux for MonoGame development will be reviewed; however, as mentioned in Chapter 1, Windows will be used for all screenshots and included sample code.
